After flirting with the big leagues for a few starts this season, former UCLA pitcher Trevor Bauer has revealed his hidden talent, REALLY, REALLY, crappy rapping skills. This little gem entitled, “Diamond In The Rough” might possibly the worst attempt at rapping by a professional athlete. That’s right, move over Deion Sanders, the crown has been passed.
Bauer, now a major leaguer is most known for unorthodox pitching delivery and signature sweat-stained hat he wore during the College World Series back in 2010. Bauer was selected third overall by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2011 draft. Bauer made his major league debut earlier this season for the Diamondback and went 1-2 before being optioned back to Triple-A after three shaky starts. Bauer perhaps made a bigger splash after Sportscenter helped reveal his crazy pre-game ritual of long-tossing the ball the length of the outfield. He definitely deserves credit for that.
We’ll let you make your own assumptions on Bauer’s rap skills, personally though, his chances for success in the major leagues are looking to be more likely.
