After spending last week in Orlando for a work conference, decided to take advantage of the one free night by attending the first NBA game in the history of The Meat Locker. The Orlando Magic were taking on the Atlanta Hawks at home and the game didn’t disappoint. The game came down to the wire as “Superman” Dwight Howard delivered a powerful game-tying dunk with merely a second left in regulation. Unfortunately the Magic ended up falling to the Hawks in OT.
Here’s a shot from inside the arena in what we wish were actually our real seats. We tried to sneak down to the lower level after halftime, only to be denied by the 80-something year old usher who was having none of it. Our seats were actually diagonally to the left and up about 1,000 feet. None the less, it was still a great experience catching the game. It was also nice to be able to see Dwight Howard play, seeing as how he most likely will be wearing a different sooner or later, sending the city of Orlando back to NBA irrelevancy.
